Another day, another pile of celebrity dirt. It’s time to catch you up on all the celebrity gossip first thing in the AM so you can be in the know before all of your friends!

Today we’ve got the dirt on everything including the sports world getting its first publicly gay athlete, Miley Cyrus talks engagement and more!

Let’s get it started!

Jason Collins First Openly Gay Professional Athlete

Free agent NBA center Jason Collins came out of the closet yesterday in a cover story for Sports Illustrated. That makes him the first active NBA player, and the first active male athlete in a major American professional team sport, to do so.

“I wish I wasn’t the kid in the classroom raising his hand and saying ‘I’m different,’” he writes. “If I had my way, someone else would have already done this.” Collins isn’t a star, but he is a veteran—he’s played for six teams over 12 years. He says he struggled for years first to accept that he was gay, and to keep it a secret. “The recent Boston Marathon bombing reinforced the notion that I shouldn’t wait” any longer, he writes. “Things can change in an instant, so why not live truthfully?”

He isn’t sure how fans or fellow players will react, but he intends to “lead by example and show that gay players are no different from straight ones.”

However one person DID react. Yesterday after hearing about Collins’ coming out, NFL player Mike Wallace sent THIS tweet, which was later deleted: ”All these beautiful women in the world and guys want to mess with other guys…smh.” (SMH is shorthand for “shaking my head.”)

The Dolphins later forced him to delete the tweet, releasing a statement saying that Wallace’s comments don’t reflect on the franchise.

Miley Cyrus Opens Up About NOT Opening Up About Engagement

Miley Cyrus says she’s ready for marriage. In an interview with Elle U.K., she opens up about her engagement to Liam Hemsworth and why she feels confident about their relationship, despite all the breakup rumors. Miley says it “just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed,” adding that she’s made the decision to not discuss the details of their relationship anymore.

She says that she and Liam used to be “too nice to the world and gave them too much insight” into their personal life in the past, but now she feels the public shouldn’t “get that privilege anymore.”

She’s just being Miley. And we just have to deal with that.

Ray J’s I Hit It First – Is That Kim Kardashian In The Video!?

Ray J released his new single “I Hit It First” earlier this month, and he just premiered the music video, which is causing tons of buzz! The song is all about him smooshing Kim Kardashian first, which of course helped Kim become the millionaire that we’ve all grown to love and hate.

The music video is all sorts of stupid, just like the song, but it features a look-a-like to Kim Kardashian. In fact, it so closely resembles Kim that we had to do a double take!
